I'm not sure when Tarantino will stop making films that do nothing but reference other films, and while I understand the reason for the fake 70s-look of the film (scratches, jumps, grain, etc) I can't overlook it as it's a bit pretentious.
Still, a good film though, despite being almost 100% homage. Kicking soundtrack as always, killer dialogue and it does have Snake Plisken in it, so I can't complain.
Looking forward to the other half of Grindhouse, Rodriguez's Planet Terror, more though.

I like the car chases but i do have to say that those women talked a bit too much.

That may be, but he didn't have to record them doing it for so damn long.
He does love his conversational dialogue, doesn't he? It didn't half slow the film down, which was a bit of a shame really, cos the car chases were ace.
Kurt Russell sobbing when things didn't go his way was also amusing.
