Helicopters and fighters screaming by, tanks and APCs rumbling past, ships and subs slipping through the seas...Advance Wars DS makes FullAuto wonder if war is worth it.

Awesome, people whose opinions I respect always rave about this game so good to hear it gets another favourable nod

I love that strapline FA - "what is it good for". Nice!

Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Thank you.

I picked up my DS (£125 plus necessities kit, free game and 3 years insurance from Argos, bit of a deal really) and immediately traded in Nintendogs for AW. This is not quite a week ago, and I've already put in more than 30 hours gaming. I've been ignoring newly bought console and PC games in favour of this, and the fact that I can play it on the bog (bloke in the stall next to me went VERY quiet when I hissed "Yes, you fucker!" when I finally won a hard-fought battle) or on the bus or whatever means I fit in more gaming.

Gutted.

Sadly, I focused more on a review than my gaming/toiletary habits. But in future I will bear it in mind.

It's worth exploring... in a non rubber-glove kind of way...

Aren't the Asgard supposedly technologically superior?

I reckon a full set of articles - instead of your 'tales from the bottle' idea you could call it 'Tales from the Pot' or 'Shit or Bust' or even 'Thoughts from the Throne Room'.

Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Good stuff FullAuto! Guess I'll buy myself a DS tomorrow then . Did they release Rebelstar and Tactics Ogre in this part of the world?

Nope, but you can get them on import quite cheap (about £15) as the DS and GBA are both region-free. I certainly plan to when I have the money.

eBay is usually worth a try, you can always find someone who imports them (and hence posts them to you from Europe, meaning cheaper postage). Amazon.uk have lots of surprisingly cheap games, but I can't say I've ever looked on there for imported ones.

Horrible thing is, it goes in the US for $20. Which is what? £12? Even on import it's going to be more than that.
